No Mistake Workshop

A new series of creative workshops to help you know what to draw when you think you've made a mistake and there is nothing else you can do. This workshop series is based on the Zentangle® Method.

Have you ever drawn something and made a "mistake"?

    • You have almost finished your work and you just made a wrong line... oops!
    • You've messed up the steps and now you don't know what to do?
    • You think you've once again drawn something wrong and you want to give up?

Don't let it stop you in your track!

    Discover the No Mistake Workshop

With this No Mistake workshop, based on the Zentangle® Method, you will learn what you can draw when you think you've made a mistake and there is nothing else you can do to save your drawing. Built on the Zentangle philosophy of "no mistakes, only opportunities", this series will consist of one workshop per week for 4 weeks.

Each one-hour workshop will offer you a progressive and interactive learning experience to help you overcome blocks and judgments and give your creativity a new boost by exploring techniques to deal with the "oops" in your creative practice.

    01

    No Mistake one white tile

Understand and voluntarily put into practice the "no mistakes only opportunities" principle.

    • Learn where the principle "no mistakes only opportunities" comes from to better understand how to use it.
    • Learn how this principle fits into the practice of the Zentangle Method and tips on how to use it in your own creative practice.
    • Draw on white tile with "oops" to practice what you've learned.

    02

    No Mistake on black tile

How is it different from white tiles?

    • Understand or refresh your knowledge of black tiles and materials to better master the principles of black tiles.
    • Know what works and what doesn't work on black tiles and get tips and tricks to draw easily on black tiles.
    • Draw on black tile with "oops" to continue exploring this topic.

    03

    No Mistake on Renaissance tile

Go further in the exploration and have fun with the "oops".

    • Understand or refresh your knowledge of Renaissances tiles to feel more comfortable with the additional material and the different light and shadow effects of Renaissances tiles.
    • Why are Renaissance tiles different from black or white tiles? What do they have in common? Learn and understand the differences between black, white and Renaissance tiles.
    • Increase the ease with which you deal with "mistakes". Draw on a Renaissance tile playing with "mistakes" to better master the Renaissance tile technique and work on letting go in your creative practice.

    04

    No Mistake on gray tile

Learn to play with "mistakes" on grey tiles to have even more ideas of what you can do.

    • Discover or deepen your knowledge of gray tiles in order to understand what they can bring to the Zentangle practice.
    • Understand how gray tiles differ so you can be confident with the different types of tiles and their materials.
    • Draw on gray tile(s) with "oops" to expand your understanding of the "No Mistake" philosophy and find even more inspiration to help you in your creative practice and overcome blocks and judgments.

Here's what people are saying about the workshops

"ArtsAmuse's Zentangle Method based workshops is a gift I give myself every week.  The class is scheduled time out of my week where I allow myself to just be in the moment, without stress, and where no artistic ability is required.  If you’ve never tried Zentangle, you are missing out."

    - Penny (USA)

"Thank you Juliette for this course. I really like the gentleness and generosity that emanates from your classes. I've just "ordered" the next series."

    - Catherine (France)

"I finally found my creative outlet and the doorway into my artistic confidence when I started taking Zentangle classes from Juliette 6 years ago. Thank you Juliette for keeping me grounded and creative....even during tough times in my life. I continue to grow with your teaching and Zentangle!"
